The US could benefit from some sort of regulation on weapons sales.
There's been much speculation that the shooter was suffering from a mental illness, and it wouldn't surprise me if that turns out to be the case. Should gun sales be prohibited or heavily restricted to those who have a history of conditions that might predispose them to violence to oneself or to others?
people who are released from mental institutions are not allowed to own or purchase a gun. they even have to sign wavers to not attempt to purchase one.
that restriction only lasts like a year and a half, though.
