I thought they called Indians "Aboriginal" or something in Canada now.
Aboriginal/Native/Indian... I've never really met anyone who's been fussy over the terms. They're pretty much used interchangeably like "black" and "African-American." There's even a street gang here that call themselves the Indian Posse :O
If you feel like being derogatory, you call him chief.
