My dad actually was laid off today, along with over 2000 other employees of Circuit City. This is the EIGHTH fucking time my dad has been laid off due to corporate downsizing or the company's going out of business, and the 2nd time he's been let go by Circuit City. Originally he worked in their corporate headquarters and got transfered to DIVX, when they went under he was let go. Then, after yet another layoff and nearly a year without work, he managed to get a contracted position working on maintaining some new computer system for their corporate headquarters. So they've shitcanned him again.

Sometimes I'm honestly surprised my dad hasn't snapped and used his extensive handgun collection to do some "corporate downsizing" of his own.

I am pissed, I am sad, I am proven right once again, when the world shows it's true face as the GIANT STEAMING LUMP OF SHIT I have always known it to be.
