I counted something like 26 street fighter games and something like 7 or 8 guilty gear games, and most of those are just cross platform translations.

Oh wow, you know I'm really put in my place here. Except for the fact that all the Revisions to Guilty Gear X2 have no fucking reason to exist. They just released Accent Core for the PS2 and the wii and i really don't see any difference between GGX2#reload and Accent Core except for....

Sure, Capcom whored out Street Fighter II back in the day, but at least when they made a Revision (champion edition, Super, Super Turbo) all the major ones made big changes to gameplay, with Champion Edition and Super it was the addition of four new playable characters apiece. And with Super Turbo, it was the addition of the Super Combo Gauge (invented by SNK for the King of Fighters). All of those editions were changes made to keep the game fresh for players in the arcade. Guilty Gear is the exact game over and over again.

And for saying that Guilty Gear is completely original, its not, it is Unoriginal and Generic in all areas with Three exceptions.

1. The addition of the Dust Attack: Which pretty much allows you to fling your opponent in the air for a mid air combo to waste away a chunk of health.

2. The Instant Kill attack which i admit is a cool way to end a match.

3. Kick ass sound track.

Every other aspect of the Game is pretty much a giant pile of generic. Ohh wow, the characters are WaCkY. And theres a cross dressing child nun. Its the most original thing i have ever seen !!!! Yeah Right. Ive seen more originality in a episode of Dragon Ball Z.



And before anyone says it, Guilty Gear Isuka was a piece of garbage.

and yeah Jeff, you're totally right. GG is TOOOOOOOOOTALLY unoriginal, except for character design, combat maneuvers, instant kill techniques, the COMPLETELY FUCKING HARDCORE SOUNDTRACK, the storyline, and countless other things! Awesome Super Street Fighter 8000X Super Hardcore Edition Number 14 Version 9 Turbo Special Anniversary Edition is soooo much more original and fresh! glad you set me straight, pal!
