Novacain on the tounge is bad, but there is worse. I once had the dentist nick my tounge with the needle right when he happened to be squirting it. My toung swelled up and I had to use three times as much Gause in my mouth to keep me from biting it.

And I can't imagine anybody getting wisdom teeth pulled without being knocked out unless they were just taking one or two. When had mine done, I had FIVE removed. All four normal ones and a strange deformed one the was growing sideways behind my wisdom teeth. I got three days off work so I figured I might as well drink myself stupid. Bad idea.
