lets see...endangering lives, excessive shooting, manslaughter...yeah that doesnt warrant accountability.

So what in your mind should the cops have done when the guy rammed them and then started making like he's reaching for a gun?

You are an idiot.

The officers acted in accordance to the situation. They were acquitted because they responded within the law. Furthermore, it is not manslaughter when you are defending yourself in the line of duty.

The officers, on foot, fired upon and into a vehicle that was being operated as a weapon by someone who was not responding to commands and, it was believed, was in possession of a firearm.

There was absolutely no other way the officers could have responded in that situation. The suspect was proving to be a danger to the officers and to the public. Police have a duty to uphold the law and to serve and protect. Had they let someone with a suspected firearm continue on his way without questioning, which was at the root of all this, they would not have been doing their duty. The episode was escalated by the actions of the suspect, not by the officers.

Furthermore, there is no such thing as 'excessive shooting' in this enforcement situation. You fire until the threat no longer alive to be a threat. It's a shame it came to that, but again, had the suspect answered questions and not used his car as a battering ram against law enforcement vehicles he would be alive today.

The police did not just pick a random black guy, walk up to his car and dump a couple dozen rounds into it for shits and giggles. A few levels occurred between point A and point B.

A is for asshole, B is for bullets....
