Couldn't obtain category list

Curriously, no. But I have run into it frequently for chunks of time. Usually it starts with me being unable to get the site at all, and getting a critical error message. Then I can get the catgeory list, but If I click on anything, I get "Couldn't obtain category list". Then I go into a shame spiral and soon I can't stop crying. I lie down under my desk, knowing it's rong, knowing I'm not longer in control of my behavior. Usually I croon and hot for about an hour, and if I'm , the clothes stay on.
