Weekly Game Review: Mario Kart Wii

I think this is a fun game, but I think the Game Cube version is better because of the two riders per kart. The ability to hold one weapon in reserve allowed for a little bit of strategy which is totally lacking from this game (plus the character specific items could not be beat). All too often I have gone from 1st place to 12th in just a few short seconds because I didn't have the right item at the right time, and was unable to do anything about an attack (a problem which was much less common in the Game Cube version). I do like the motorcycles though and some of the new tracks are fucking AWESOME.
