In canada we just hire a bunch of retired people to run the election. And on election day we just draw a little mark in a circle (doesn't matter what kind of mark, but it has to be in the circle. And it can't be a number, and it can't be all over the damn page.) and then the retired people go back to the local elections office (which is usually a hockey equipment store that has been temporarily taken over by Elections Canada) and count up the votes. And then they tell this guy who won, and he tells the rest of us:
