America may well be bored, but I think the adminsitration was... I have now ord for this, pre-bored. Rumsfeld aggressively dismissed the very notion of actively planning for a post war Iraq and was aloud to do so becuase the war was so sexy. But now that lack of forethought seems appauling, as it should have all along. I mean, did no one know that putting Iraq back together might be harder than pulling it apart?

And why is the media so gelded and incurious? Any thoughts from anyone? Doesn't aanybody want to know why Garner is out and Bremner is in? Was it the mPaln for the first civillian admisnistration to last only three weeks?

It's as if everybody from the President to the lowliest Joe Six Pack knew this part would be no fun and agreed in advance not to give it any thought.
