It's nothing new, really. The PC version of Mirror's Edge had a "bug" where you would get stuck unexpectedly in the middle of one of the early levels if you had a pirated copy.


Took the pirates almost a week to figure out an easy workaround.

kind of reminds me of the CP in starflight/starflight 2 where it doesn't tell you right away that you got the protection wrong, but generally about 15 minutes later you get stopped by the "interstel police" and if you fail another copy protection question your engines are disabled and they start shooting
