I can imagine what she was thinking when she wrote it.
"Well, I finally grabbed the attention of nearly all of the world's kids, and the parents' protesting the "Satanism" of my books has died down tremendously. Now that the world finally knows the magical universe and whimsical children's fantasy of Harry Potter, I'm going to write the scariest, most fucked up shit to come across my brain and scare those little brats once and for all."
