I was working in a hospital, for one of my old bosses, and without explanation I was suddenly transferred to a different area. I was on a floor with lots of cubicles, got one of them assigned to me, but no one told me what exactly my new job was supposed to be. There was a computer and a phone, and something that either looked like bagged bluetooth earpieces or hearing aids hanging on a pegboard in front of me, and beside me there was a short display of toothbrushes and toothpaste and floss and stuff like that.
Every time I tried to ask, people would just vaguely say "Oh, you make the calls" or "Oh, well, you take care of the things", nothing that was any help at all. At the same time, there was this intensely competitive atmosphere, and this guy one row over kept doing things like knocking over the toothbrush display or sabotaging my desk.
So basically I was just playing on the internet because I had no idea what the hell I was supposed to be doing, but I was trying to hide that because I didn't want to be fired. At one point I used the top shelf of my desk to store a giant loaf of bread, but it got moldy and I threw it away.
Never did find out what my job was.
