I have no preference, personally, since all the "alternative" and "metal" radio stations around here play basically the same list of songs, but I'd have to go with alternative, since back in the day('93-96, I was still in high school), they'd play punk rock on occasion, while the metal stations stagnated with the same old tired AC/DC and Metallica bullshit. Now you'll hear the White Stripes, Metallica, RATM, and fucking
Chevelle back to back on both metal and alternative stations.
