They're apparently going to hold off until September to reveal this zinger, just so they can double check its "veracity." I'd imagine jumping the gun on so many dead leads has taught them that finding proof before coming to conclusions is a valuable technique.
My conspiracy theorist guess leads me to believe they'd like to reveal it around the 2nd anniversary of 9/11, that way Bush can create a mental link between Iraq and the War on Terrorism.
