I'm not sure why, but I'm getting a peculiar kind of satisfaction seeing the Big East get smacked down in the first round. ND, Marquette and G-Town all took powders, with Nova just squeaking by.

Lehigh actually gave Kansas a scare. Hmmmmmm.....

A shitty local sports station here is claiming this morning that Tubby Smith is near finalizing a contract with AUBURN. This is the same station last year that reportedly had Tubby on a plan to sign a contract with Virginia.

Wow, NIU schooled Kansas. Only time Kansas had a lead that game was when it was 2-0 Kansas.

Wish I joined this bracket but my bracket is pretty much a bust despite picking against notre dame and clemson in first round. I knew neither one ever had much luck in big stages. So naturally I'm hoping for a cinderella story. I'm rooting for bunch of hicks from northern iowa to reach the final 4 for the first time since the grandfather of basketball hick, larry bird in '79. If they win it all, it would bring the sexy in mutton chops and receding hairlines. Its funny because I was watching the n. iowa/kansas game, I forgot about my bracket in which I choose kansas to win it all, and found myself rooting for the hicks to pull of a major upset.

I remember MSU as a 2 seed played Robert Morris last year and we cut it pretty close. That dude is force to be reckoned with

So while I had Florida and ND wrong, my overall bracket lives to fight another day with Nova squeaking out that OT victory that should have never gotten that far. Hopefully it is a wake up call to Nova
