And just to clear the air, yes, I do recognize the importance of bald eagles, tigers, and such. I was deliberately acting like an ass about it. Getting rid of the laws that protect them would not be good at the current time. However, I do think a transition can be made as to how we protect the environment over time...

You might want to find other sources for this research. The Cato Institute is known for taking things out of context and whopping them together.
