also she's the sweetest. she's very loving but you can probably tell her jaw is a bit fucked up, so whenever she rubs her head on you you can feel her tooth.

straight tortoiseshells are torties....a torbie is a tortoiseshell/tabby mix (random stripelets here and there, like on her head)

Like torties, most male torbies don't live, so they're almost all female. Surviving males are usually sterile.

She looks like a sweetie. Torbies just have their own bizarre outlook on life.

yeah, alyssa explained that it's (well tortoise shell) a female only thing because whatever causes it is on the second x chromosome. so if'n males are born that way, they've got an extra x and are as you mentioned sterile.

and she's definitely an attention hog. i think she hears the stroking of hands on cat fur, because if you pet one of the kittens and she's on the other end of the house, she'll run over and start rubbing on you, as if to say "don't forget me!"

Oh, they're very jealous. If I pet one of the other cats, Pepper comes running and we say, "Here comes Little Miss Jealous."

I went to a pet "boutique" today where they had an in-house chihuahua who was roaming the store and who sat out on the main mall's walkway in front of it.

I couldn't ever do that. If that were my dog, I would be freaked the hell out worrying about someone picking it up and sticking it under their coat, or something. Chihuahuas are so tiny
