Nope. We both named them after short deliberation. Oh yeah, he's my husband like Supa said.
When we got Torgo, we thought we'd name him Ninja, cuz he's black and he "sneaks" or crawls around on his elbows. But he was too gooshy and fat and wrinkly to be a Ninja so we thought he would be more aptly named Sumo. But then we were sitting in the drive-thru at Jack in the Box, and I said we should name him Turbo for the irony's sake, of course. And, the word Turbo made my husband yell, TORGO! And that was that.
Atari was easier. We wanted something Japanese and we broke out the japanese dictionary, but nothing fit. Then we went to gaming ideas and I yelled out "Atari." We looked it up and atari means "success", and since we're the 2 most unsuccessful people we know, and we love old skool games, it was perfect.
Of course, now every idiot asks us the same question: Will you name her puppies "PS2" / "NES" / etc? Dorks.
She owned him real good see!
