The "sea kitten" is such an amazing parody of all the bad elements of PETA, and what's even more awesome is they're doing it themselves.
- Immediate impression of certain words matters more than actual facts
- Frankly admitting they only care about the cute animals
- Attempts to redefine reality
- Assumption that you'll actually follow their insane logic four steps and then try to argue in the magical fantasy land they've created for themselves
The worst thing is I know some real animal rights people (non-insane ones who protest against actual mistreatment of animals and won't try to mace you for eating, and even accept rational arguments on certain issues) and these nutbars give them a bad name.
