I'm being given a DSLR as a gift, due to my art and whatnot, and salespeople are really starting to piss me off. I went into Best Buy yesterday because their website said they had the one I wanted in stock, and I wanted to feel how heavy it was with lens attached so I could be sure I could handle the weight. Instead the guy tries to sell me on a shitty nikon point and shoot, then said he's never heard of the memory card I want and tries to get me to buy a jump drive instead.
I'd just order it but I don't want to get stuck with a shit return policy, and I want to actually see and feel the camera first.

I don't have spending cash, so don't be jealous of me on that front. This is entirely through the generosity of a relative. And I ask daily if they're sure they understand how much a DSLR costs.
I'm looking at an Olympus E620. I picked up a 420 and the weight felt okay, but I like the low-light features of the 620 better.
