I think part of the problem was that the person playing probably didn't have any hands. I don't really know what diddy's final smash is about, since they just flew him right over the edge and into the pit.

on the opposite note, snake's smash is awesome!

God damnit, Strikers Charged is still completely inaccesable due to Soul Calibur bullshit and Melee is getting boring with no IRL friends who play it

Most Gamestops are having Melee tournaments for the Brawl release, most of them offering Brawl as a prize. If anyone lives near Anne Arundel County or Southern MD, you guys should really come out to our local Gamestop. There aren't any pro players in the area and no-one that can wavedash or SHFFL effectively, it's prime pickins.

I know Bubba lives in VA and it'd be cool if anyone else could come. It's March 9th I think (the release date) at 1 PM. I'm going and so are about eight friends of mine including Chojin (i think). I hope it's 1v1, but If it's a free-for-all we're planning to gang up on whoever's playing with us before fighting each other and we'd love to have more numbers for our gang.

If anyone's interested in showing up, PM me. I don't know the specifics, whether there'll be items or random stages or whatever. There wasn't a character sign-up on the sheet (!!), so counter-picking might be available...which is good, because I might switch between Jiggs, Ness and Doc depending on my opponent.

Funny thing. I will be in or near the DC area at that time cuz thats when my internship does its big thing in that area, but my reserve is for the gamestop in fredericksburg. If I end up being there for that saturday can I just get it there or do I have to tell them to move it to that store?

I'm not sure, you might be able to move it to the store. It's the one in the Gambrills/Crofton area if that helps. I think March 9th is a Monday though, so if you've got school or work you might be screwed.

i've heard they are dual layered discs though. so a lot of my friends who have it burned only have one half of the game (no SSE )

Indeed they are, luckily, there are dual layer discs that you can burn to if you have the appropriate burner. I went for the vs-mode only, because I am buying the game in March anyway.

No it wont. He has to jump before he can use it. Presumeably if he was going to die from a smash hit jumping any further would kill him before he could pause. At best its a flashy move to confuse people.
