I'll beat your ass with the Ice Climbers

And DK is great just because you can grab people and carry them. If you play with him enough, you can judge how long you can carry someone before they get free, and you can time it so you can grab them, carry them, and throw them off the edge of the screen. DK's throws are one of the best in both games.

Don't bash characters just because you don't use them or aren't good at them.

DK is one of those characters that, when played by the computer, sucks tremendous amounts of ass. Handled by a human player who knows what he/she's doing, however, and he's amongst the best. His moves are devastating, you can work in some great combo moves if you're good enough.

Donkey Kong's dodge moves aren't that good, but not to the point where they make him on the level of Sheik.

And here's the most fun you can have with only two people: do a tournament, with 64 entrants, and two people per match, and stock one with no time limit. Just use whatever characters the computer randomly picks, and play the tournament with one person always being player one and the other person always being player two.

It's fun as hell, and a good way to kill an hour.

Actually, screw it, nobody would beat me if the damage ratio was on 2.0. Nobody would probably beat me if the damage ratio was on anything else, but I know how to kill someone on damage ratio 2 with everyone in the game. Everyone has at leat one move (the good people like Roy have several) moves that will kill anyone with one hit on damage ratio 2.0. Even Young Link

Last night, with the damage ratio set on the default 1.0, I was undefeated with Pink Yoshi. Nobody could even beat me once, and I was a character who has about three moves that actually work.

Bobo: Yoshi is one of my favourites, I find him pretty useful. I still think Donkey Kong is the best, though.

I used to use Luigi in the first one, just because of that lethal Up+B attack.

But, since Luigi doesn't move forward with that attack now, I use any of the Mario's.

And Luigi's new ->+B Rocket Move sucks balls.

Sorry about that. They weren't posted when I wrote the thread.

Unfortunately, Tavo is Peach and I didn't get to see his Fox.

I've only seen him use Fox once, and that was in his "Wavedashing" tutorial video... he was seriously amazing.

He says he has two hours of recorded play, but doesn't have the webspace to host it. I guess we're all going to have to wait until he deletes these videos and shows us the good stuff.
