It is addictive as hell. I don't think it is as insidious as other drugs (alcohol or crack are more destructive to others) but it is good at getting a grip on you and making you feel you need it to function. How many times have you heard, "I can't function properly till I have had at least 2 cups of coffee"? Once I got the need for it out of me, I found the need I felt was entirely artificial. I think some of it is chemical based and some is mental.

I think I hear that about coffee quite often. Coffee is probably the only thing I personally have some sort of physical addiction to. Sure, I drink alcohol regularly - at least one night a week to the point of tipsiness - but it doesn't create any bodily withdrawal symptoms if I don't get it.
However, some days I can get really slow, tired and plagued with headache without knowing why, but then I remember that I haven't had coffee yet, so I have some and it goes away.

You would have to drink it pretty seriously for a long time before you got that kind of withdrawalI would assume.

Unfortunately, whatever the root cause, the headaches are real.

i smoke a few times a month. if your addiction is causing you to leave dinner 3-4 times to go outside and smoke (as my dad does), it's probably time to re-evaluate your self-respect instead of insisting on poisoning others.

Or do you just like to not use names and then reference some "him" from earlier in the thread?

When someone uses a preposition, if they don't re-clarify it, it's referring to the same person.

Yeah but you didnt use a preposition. At least not on this page. The only thing you did to identify your subject was use the words "he" and "his". Not that there is anything wrong with that. Its just a little vague.

Sorry, I meant pronoun. I had just gotten up. Within the context of the conversation, the first use is pretty clear as to whom it's referring. The second one uses the same clarification, since nothing changed between them.

Honestly, I just don't see why that was so hard to read when the post I referred to was only two up.

The funniest one to me is when you assumed he kicked his own father away from the home dinner table (which there isn't any in that house). The other one was implying that he'd be the one to say " We can't go there, there's smoke in there."

You also have a hard time getting "it" when people aren't being "serious" about "things" that they "write."

Choj had mentioned dinner two posts up. When I replied to you using "he", I thought it was pretty clear that I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about the next post up.

Also, it's pretty great how riled up you got when I made a joke off your joke. But then you thought I was serious. That was pretty funny.
