I have no idea. I haven't really logged in for about 2 months. I just checked right now and it looks like they're still pretty active. They don't go on the big raids, but they do instances, at least they did when I was last on. The guild name is Elendil's Wrath.

My character is named pretty shittily since they changed my name twice and banned me for 5 days while I thought about my bad name choices. First name I had was Goldentinkler Peemaker, then Tremendous Johnson... now I'm Morveer. Just shitty Morveer. Oh well.

I may start to play it more soon with the expansion coming out. Still on the fence.

I know when people turn to great fighting games, they always laugh off dead or alive games. Fuck them. That was my fighting game. I was one of the top five hundred on xbox live for a while on DOA4, which I was pretty proud of at the time. I really can't wait til DOA5. I hope it is just as good without itagaki because I want to get back to stomping people down online with my hori fight stick.

Yeah, I really liked the Dead or Alive games; the countering system just seemed to work really well. Bayman was my character.

I would be willing to say DoA is THE best fighting game. This is because to be good at it you dont learn crazy combos or special moves. To be good at DoA you have to know and read your opponent very well. At least with good players anyway.

Yeah, it doesn't look like the graphics are hugely better from DOA4, from what I can tell. But the lighting looks great and supposedly they are going to try and make some great places to fight in also. I always loved the DOA multi-layered fighting arenas, riding people down stairs and such. Knowing your arena, knowing when to attack and when to counter and how exactly to counter each attack is critical. I just loved the game so much. I loved toying with people by laying on the ground as Brad Wong and they'd not know what to do unless they were good. It's pretty much the only fighting game I'm truly excited for right now.

Does anyone know if Space Marine is 'cross platform'? My friend says that if I have it on Xbox I can play him online even though he has it on PS3. Is this truth or shite?

I´m pretty sure that won´t work. Has there ever been a game where 360 and PS3 could play together? The fact that I only find around 20 matches most of the time also hints at single-platform play too.

But I´d love if it worked, especially for games like this where the online is not as populated to begin with.

Maybe FF11 was. I thought I remember if you played it on PS2 you were on the same server as the PC players were. But I may be pulling a Roidger Clemens and 'mis-remembering' that whole debacle.

So I'm getting gears of war 3 coming in on Tuesday, but reading about it til then.. I just read that they are selling skins for weapons on day 1. I was kind of pissed about it seeing how they could have them as unlocks for doing good in the game. Then I saw that they had floral print and hot pink weapons. I'm probably going to end up buying those.

i think a lot of the colored guns are unlockable i have the golden retro lancer unlocked already thanks to the beta

Oh yeah, a lot of colored guns are unlockable, but then about 21 others are day 1 dlc.

So it turns out my Gears of War 3 disc shipped fucked up. It reads but freezes if it's been on a menu for more than 20 seconds. It also won't install to my system. Says the disc is scratched or dirty. So Amazon will send me a new one but it'll take 3 days. I am never buying games online again.
