I have it reserved for the actual release date, and I can not wait. I know it is Friday, but still, I WANT IT NOW!!

(cue Willy Wonka music in the background as I throw a fit and kick a midget.)

Now now, son. Just because you can't read doesn't mean you have to get your soggy panties in a bunch.

I couldn't give a flying fuck about Harry Potter. But I do enjoy reading. What's so wrong with that?

Nothing's wrong with that. I never said there was. Reading = good stuff.

Just that Potter freaks annoy me.

then don't post in the thread, you fucking gaylord!

I bet you haven't even read the books, you're just another tedious little counter culture fuckwit who hates shit because it's "in".

I've been reading these books since they came out, I've been waiting 3 years for this book, and I enjoy it. HOW DOES THAT INDICATE ME NOT HAVING A LIFE, YOU COCK SMOKER? it's not like I fucking dress up like a wizard and have fucking parties!

I'm engaged to be married to a wonderful man, I've been supporting myself since the age of sixteen and I'm going back to school to become a vet. I assure you, I bet I have a better life than you do.

The best part of that thread was when you tried to "prove" you had a life.

Nor am I "anti-culture" anything. What a dumb assumption. Funny, because I'm not surprised.

My statement was a joke. I'm sorry that went over your head. I'll be sure to simplify it just for you next time. Now hurry back to your 4th-grade-reading-level-book...and don't forget your cape...

I like how he avoided the bit about not reading the books

I didn't say "anti-culture" I said COUNTER culture. I might be reading a "4th-grade-reading-level-book", but at least I can read.

And the only cape I have is my Superman cape and it doesn't match

I read the first one, and I thought it was okay. Nothing to get all excited over, though.

Counter/anti, eh? Synonyms to me.

to me "anti" means you're against culture of any kind, wheras I'm implying that you don't seem to like 'fads'.

And if you've only read one, how do you know it's nothing to get excited over? Don't you get excited about books and movies? What's wrong with enjoying something harmless? It's not like it's hurting you that I like to read these books.

So how long will this one be? It seems each book is exponentially larger than the last.

I heard it's supposed to be something like 850 pages or thereabouts. That's asking a lot out of kids.

Again, I really don't care. It's all a joke. Good for you if you like them.

the UK version is 766 pages, but I think yours has a bigger font (and don't yours have illustrations, too?) so it's almost 900 pages.

If I had kids I wouldn't let them read this one. It's really violent, so I don't think they're going to be able to make it a PG movie without it sucking.

What kicks ass about the Potter books is that they grow more mature as the series continues, so kids can grow up with them. Wish I was a kid
