Bird Guy looked down on the entrance of the Skullbreakers’ lair. The PCPD was paying him a fair amount of money to take their leader down, hoping that this would cause the gang to fall apart. He knew that it was dangerous. The police only hired ‘superheroes’ if they couldn’t be arsed to do the job themselves, either due to lack of interest or fear of getting killed. With the Skullbreakers’ record, it was probably the latter.
He looked down closer, noting the single guard. A big meeting was probably being held. Figured.
He took out his hip flask filled with Jack Daniels, took a sip, and jumped off the roof, landing directly in front of the guard. Understandably startled, the guard let out a single “What the fucking fuck…” before his head was taken hold of by the unwanted guest and was slammed against the concrete floor.
Going through the guard’s pockets, BG found a key card and inserted it into a slot on the big steel door. It opened with a single ‘crang’, allowing the hero entry.
A few feet into the building, he had to choose out of two hallways. Taking another sip from his hip flask, he shrugged his shoulders and headed right.
He looked around a corner and saw two guards armed with shock-sticks, standing in front of a big wooden door. Being too slow to duck away again, they noticed him and one of them moved in for the kill with a primal scream while the other attempted to pull the alarm.
“Bloody fucking shit.” BG mumbled to himself, and launched himself over the approaching guard, twisting the skull mask and impairing his vision. BG bounced off the wall and launched himself at the second guard. He turned his wrists and the tungsten-carbide talons in his gloves extended. The guard tried to hit him with a shock-stick, but found his weapon lying in pieces on the floor moments afterward.
BG delivered an uppercut to the guard’s chin, sending him into the wall, and crashing against the alarm button.
The sound was deafening, and BG leapt towards the door in hopes of finding a place to hide. Unfortunately, the first guard had regained his vision and hit him with a shock-stick, forcing him to the ground. When the behemoth moved in to deliver the final blow, BG came to his senses again and sent his steel-spiked boot right into the guard’s crotch. The guard let out a single muffled yelp and fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding private region.
BG got up and opened the door as fast as he could and entered, letting out a sigh of relief as he closed it again. He looked up.
“Fuck.” He said, and smashed the door open again with all his might, running from the gathering of Skullbreakers in the big hall.
Running through the corridors, with at least two hundred Skullbreakers in hot pursuit, BG tried finding his way to the exit, eventually ending up in a dead end, save for a plain maintenance door.
The gang members closed in slowly, and from the back of the horde, an enormous figure approached. As the figure reached the front line, he became more clearly visible. He wore the regular skull mask, but he had armour on him, with spiked knee, elbow, and shoulder pads, as well as a shock-stick with a blade on the other end.
“Kill him.” The figure spoke, and instantly the mass stormed at BG, who looked at the door and smashed through it.
Flying up to the boardwalk in what appeared to be a boiler room of some sorts, he sliced through an insulated pipe above the door. Liquid hydrogen was sent spraying down on the masses of Skullbreakers storming into the room, freezing their skin and some limbs. BG grinned and cut an electrical wire, causing the majority of the Skullbreakers to die a horrible freezing, burning death.
Unfortunately, his luck ran out quickly. The rest of the hydrogen caught fire, causing the pipes to explode and a part of the ceiling to cave in.
BG looked around, hearing a voice over the noise of the explosions.
“You fucking piece of shit! Do you know how hard it is to amass an army?!”
BG focused on a large figure behind a small fire. It leapt over to him, revealing itself as being the Skullbreakers’ leader.
Before he could do anything, the leader had grabbed him and smashed him into a pipe, breaking it and causing steam to blow out into the leader’s face, melting the mask and causing it to fuse to his face. Screaming in agony, the leader grabbed BG by the neck and started squeezing. Running out of breath, BG looked around and noticed a lock holding up a chain on a pulley.
He kneed the boss in the groin, leapt over to the chain and sliced right through it, causing part of the chain and the pulley to crash down on the leader’s head, sending him into the inferno below.
BG sighed of relief, and realized that he was still in a collapsing building. Seeing daylight coming through the holes in the ceiling and roof, and flew up as fast as he could.
The building exploded, and the shockwave knocked the wind out of BG and caused him to black out. Seconds later when he regained his composure, he saw the ground approaching fast, and was barely able to slow his fall down enough so that he wouldn’t crash to death. As he hit the street, he passed out again.
When he woke up again, it was night. He got up and took out his hip flask. He took another sip, but threw it away angrily when he noticed that all the liquor had seeped out due to a hole in the bottom.
He limped to the PCPD headquarters. He better get extra pay for this.

I was starting to write something a very different style and after reading yours I would prefer to write a pure action hero story. Your story didn't have a title.
