charisma is more important in 2 than it si in 1 but you still don't need more than like 4 or so

I like putting mine up to like 6, then getting the gifted trait. High charisma isn't necessary, but it helps a lot. Plus, being a porn star in new reno and banging that chick in modoc is fun.

I thought brainbread was ok but I find it hard to really enjoy HL1 mods anymore. They just look so damn ugly. Zombie panic was better IMO.

The they hunger trilogy was the best HL1 zombie mod. The developers are making a retail mod for HL2 right now which looks kind of good.

I'm pretty sure SWEET HOME had zombies in it

I figure after reading some Resident Evil fanboys homosexualize themselves over it, I'd give it a try and although I've played through it and beat it, I can't remember if there were zombies in it.
