Old Dec 10th, 2013, 09:42 PM        Writers similar to Burbank?
I'm an illiterate clod, and I'm trying to change that by reading more big boy books. I've always enjoyed Max's editorials and given that he's no longer actively writing for the site, I'd settle for writers that are at least reminicsent. I think I like the stuff where he talks about his youth the most, so I guess what I'm really looking for is authors who write about interesting childhoods.
So guys like John Irving? Ray Bradbury? Is there anybody CULTURED enough to help me?
