It occured to me recently that I might be too sarcastic. I realized this when I realized that I don't think more than 20 percent of everything I say is serious. And that 20 percent includes regular, daily banter. Just about everything that comes out of my mouth is facetious.

This past year, the most common complaint I read about my column was "I can't tell if he's joking or not." Although I would like to think that people would have the good sense to realize that someone writing a humor column is probably joking, the fact remains that every single thing I wrote was extremely sarcastic and entirely indecorous, in a sarcastic way.

I've been told that I am the most monotone person in the world. I can crack jokes and act stupid while appearing totally serious. This also includes sarcasm, and I will joke about anything while holding a straight face.

I think that's why girls don't like me and think I'm weird.

maybe you just need a disclaimer for the morons?

i used to explain myself a lot. now, if someone wants to know if i'm serious, they can ask. if it's someone i care about, i'll usually be straight with them. if not, who knows.

No one understands what i say because I speak my own language.

Its apparently a curious mix of ebonics, hillbilly/redneck, TV/Movie/Advertisements, Bible, schoolgirl giggling, and just plain fresh-off-the-boat bad english.



and it doesnt help that im always sarcastic, exaggerated and yelling for no apparent reason.

I didnt realise this until a little while ago when i spoke to someone for over an hour and they didnt understand a single thing i said.

they're punchy. they've been let down with 'politicians have your best interests at heart' and 'priests are celibate', so now they're sharpening their wits and adopting the who as savior and motto, "won't get fooled again". or maybe they're just impaired.. fifty/fifty.
