She is suing under the "patients right to know" statute but the hospital won't say a thing. They have said streptococal meningitus and even flesh eating bacteria but won't say officially what happened to her or anyone and said in a letter she'd have to sue if she wanted answers.
If you cut off my arms and legs I'd damn well want to know why. ORMC said Mejia is requesting information on if there were other patients or someone on her floor with the streptococcus. They said, if they release that to her, that would be a violation of other patients' rights.
In other words most likely she caught it from THEIR incompetance hence the secrecey.
