The Passengers - It has Anne Hathaway in it. It was listed as a psychological thriller about a plane crash and people disapperaing mysteriously after going through group therapy. It wasn't that great of a film.

Not to keep harping on Cool Hand Luke, but I found another thing interesting- two of the actors in the ensemble cast went on to be two stars of Big Love:

- Luke Askew, who played Boss Paul, became Hollis Greene, the creepy-ass cult leader with the wife who dresses like a man, and

- Harry Dean Stanton (one of my personal favorite actors ever), became Roman Grant, the main recurring badguy.

So a prisoner and a guard became the two rival cult leaders in a series about 40 years after the movie was made. Hollywood must really be a small world.

Did he die? That season was completely befuckerated scriptwise, it was all over the place. I know that x person emerged from hiding (trying to avoid spoliers here) and that at the end of y event Roman appeared dead, but for all I know he could pop right back up next season.

Like they've done with Alby a zillion times.

tyler perry's "the family that preys". Don't look at me, my mom rented it and wanted me to watch it with her.

It was a gargantuan eyeroll of a movie. It was like a pro wrestling rivalry...the good characters were so good, and the bad characters were so bad, that it took on a very cartoonish aspect. There was a lot of Sassy Blackness and the Token Rich White People were in full force.

And one of the female leads looked so very much like Oprah, right down to the hairdo, clothing and facial features, that I wondered if maybe Mr. Perry (Tyler Perry presents Tyler Perry in "Tyler Perry", a Tyler Perry production) had wanted Oprah as his first choice but she was too expensive.

It was more entertaining than I thought it would be, but mainly because I found things to laugh at.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

Horribly sad, although it didn't make me physically ill the way The Grey Zone did.

I rented Hamlet 2 and Death at a Funeral, so I'll probably watch those either tonight or tomorrow. My mom has Gran Torino and I'll watch it when she's finished.

The boy in the striped pajamas was pretty good. Just.....you know.....bad times.

I watched a few ninja movies on this collection I bought a few weeks back and realized some American movie company just dressed one or two Americans in hokie ninja garb(circa 1980s) and filmed them fighting each other. In between the ninja action they insert an entire dubbed japanese movie(circa 1970's) and try and get the two to fit in a plot.

Beyond ridiculous. Beyond Ludicrous. This is now Supa Suga Crisp.

Gran Torino was great.

Death at a Funeral was....eh. It had its moments. It was what it was.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was affected by that "we all learned something, didn't we?" thing that haunts holocaust movies. Kind of like someone sucker-punching you and telling you it's for your own good.

I thought that Anthony Hopkins was a rather droll piece of casting. That being said, he played the hell out of that role.

Ant- haven't watched it yet. Hopefully tonight.

I thought he played the roll well, especially when he acted like a senile old fool...

I saw that movie (Titus) when I was very high and could not handle it and had to stop it after like 10 minutes.

All I remember was a dance number that may or may not have happened on the movie.

I mean that Anthony Hopkins' Titus character was so similar to his Hannibal Lecter 8 years before, right down to blatantly cooking his enemies and serving them at a suave dinner party to his other enemies. It was a funny ha-ha piece of casting, but he's wholly worth his salt as a Shakespearean performer and did a wonderful job.

Terminator 3. Such a great piece of wtf. I completely forgot about the part where T-101 mentions that Katherine Brewster's father is really important and John Connor is like "Who is your father and what does he do?"

Terminator salvation

It was ok, but god damn it's just not the same without Arnold. Seeing the good ol' T-800 ffor the first time was the most awesome moment of the whole film.

Oh and I loved it how Bale used his trademarked batman voice in certain scenes
