Where the messages can then be found and smuggled out to rebels? Or do you mean we need to build a bunker and put guards around a bunch of Korans?

I imagine they already have some sort of secure storage facility... they might need to buy a small box though.

I thik they should have shredded them and mixed it with oatmeal to feed the prisoners that would have been an awsome inside joke for the guards watching them eat and laughing.

Edit: For the record i think that the followers of any religion are "living in the dark ages" and have as little respect for Christianity as i do for Islam, but I am still capable of enough reason to not burn a Quran. I refuse to act as if the western troops are somehow superior here.
Like I said, I also think burning a Quran is a really bad idea, and it's bound to end up starting trouble...

Things that I would riot about are completely within logic and reason. Being predictable doesn't make muslims any less crazy, it just makes them predictably crazy.

Your personal logic and reason, logic that may not jive with others. Then throw in the forces of crowds and mob mentality and you could be doing stuff that i would consider crazy. It's like being mad at the tide, it's there you know how it works and can predict outcomes so if you do something that causes you to be harmed by this force then it is on you.

I think we should give the rioters a goodwill gesture by sending them truckloads of ham to eat.

Do you think i could walk through a crowd of rioting Afghans wearing a ham suit and come out unmolested? Bonus Question: In this situation would pork bullets be an effective form of riot control?

If I still lived in the country I wouold seriously test fire an 8MM pork round with about 30 grain, but that wouldnt go over well here. The department of defense should seriously think about pork rounds.

Yes, this is real, although the specifics are a little misleading.

Even though the assault was caught on video, the judge ruled it inadmissable (too grainy to be definitive), dismissed the assault charge (basically he said, he said without the video) and then lectured the plaintiff on religious tolerance.

Word is that the judge (Mark Martin?) is also a muslim.

Yeah and in that story there is nothing about a US judge upholding Sharia law, that was a gross overstatement.

Yeah, it's more of a story about a judge trying to set a weird precedent where it's okay to beat someone up if they're asking for it.
