I'm sure those east coast fimilies will also still be paying education taxes and won't be recieving any tax credits for education. Not exactly what I had in mind. :/

And how would all of you suggest we remedy the education system in this country? It is by no means a small problem in isolated parts of the country. I'm fairly certain our school system's overall perfomance was 3rd to last in an international study.

Maybe rather than focusing on public schools and private schools and funding, we should look at the structure and methods used by educational systems in other nations. It seems logical that if we are one of the worst in the world in education, we could look at examples of systems that work and learn from that.
