Are the colors going to be different? Or are they gonna be able to be switched and stuff? I like this forum alot because it doesnt strain my eyes with annoying bright colors.

No, the colors will be practically identical to what you see now. We've even got the same rollover-highlights working on each of the threads so you don't have to click on the text, but can instead click anywhere in the cell to get to the thread.

Not always, but for a long time. It's something we added on to the forums and pretty much everybody got used to it and liked it, so it's definitely something we wanted to keep as a feature when we switched over to the new forum software.

Does the ignore feature completely wipe out the person you ignore's message? If so that could get confusing.

EXAMPLE:

Willie: We bought a whole tank of propane.

and let's say Willie ignored Zeldasbiggest fan, and can't see his post.

ZELDASBIGGESTFAN: WHAT ARE YOU HANK HILL :retard

Now Pub Lover, who is too lazy to use the ignore feature, replies to zelda

Pub Lover: I'm depressed that I know who you are talking about

Willie: Wait. WHUUUUUT?

END SCENE. You see what I mean?

GADZOOKS, yeah that's pretty much why I think it's a bad idea. The only reason I could see it being used would be for people who you don't like so you can ignore any private messages they try to send your way. But to ignore somebody in a message thread could quickly make things confusing.

And we're still on for the switch on Saturday night. I can't say how long it's gonna take for sure, but the forums will be down for a while that night I'm sure, so make plans to be somewhere else than on here. "OMG, ROG! I HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE OR SOMETHING!?!?"

I think I QUITE like vbulletin but on some forums they add in a shit ton of plugins which get really annoying.

those letters are actually kind of blurry. I think this color works best just for overall subtlety.

They're only blurry because he scaled down the photograph, when you view them at full size they're perfectly crisp & clear. I thought the slight color change would be a nice departure from what we currently have, especially since it reminds me of ZOMBIE BLOOD!

For those of you worried about the ignore feature, don't be. What it does is takes the body of someone's post and replaces it with something like "You have chosen to ignore all posts from user ________" and then the option to see the post if you so desire. It doesn't just eradicate the post from existance for you, that would never work.
