Oh, and I don't think romnation.net works.

Even if I go through that "vote" bullshit, anytime I click on "Download Your Rom Now" it says that I am downloading "redirect.php".

The largest collection of NES and MAME roms on the internet is www.theoldcomputer.com. I suggest you go to that website if you really want ROMS. There are not alot of pop-ups and no voting is required. They have T-shirts there too if you want to buy them. That is the best ROM site I know of.

Well, I think (I may be in the minority here) that it's not very hard to find an old NES or even MAME rom... the ones that are getting hard to find are Genesis and SNES roms (SNES roms meaning even the ones that are IDSA protected, like CherryRoms.com has all over)

I think we need a LOT more sites on Genesis and to a lesser extent, SNES.

That's RomNation. Don't worry too much about it. But I find the site to be the best one listed so far. You don't have to vote or anything. Just download the roms and they'll work fine.

Yeah, I've been downloading a number of roms from romnation now and it worked fine.

Skullhedface, don't worry if you get prompted to download "redirect.php". When you start downloading, the filename changes to the zip file you're trying to get.

I think Jamesman mentioned that in one of his other posts, but thanks anyway.

A new problem has arisen though. I downloaded Marvel VS Street Fighter and Marvel Vs Capcom for MAME, but neither of them show up in my MAME menu, although I KNOW they're in the right directory.

Not sure. All I know is RomNation.net had three MAME emulators and I DL'ed the one for Windows.

[edit[ Ironically, Metal Slug 1-3 all work fine

I usually find the emulator that works best with that specific rom. For example I will use Kawaks for Metal Slug 3 and for Metal Slug 4 I will use Nebula.

Not sure why MvSF and MvC won't work. You may need a seperate .dat file for those roms for them to show up in the list. I actually own those games so I haven't emulated em.

It can't be the DAT files, those are already included. I just wonder why it wouldn't show up. It's in the right directory, and I did refresh it...hmm.

OK, the version of MAME I had was MAME32. When I downloaded Nebula everything worked fine.

Has anyone seen a ROM for MvsC2? Or does such a ROM exist? And for some reason, I CAN NOT get Metal Slug 3 to work, Tim. Everything else finally works but not this one.

Hey, I've been looking for a site that has SNES emulators and ROMS(specifically Super Castlevania) for a couple of days now that is compatible with Windows XP, to no avail. Everything is either corrupted or they just plain don't work. Any suggestions?

By the way, theoldcomputer.com works great for most of my Nesticle ROMs.

Also, if there's any way, are there any Genesis emulators and ROMs for Windows XP? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Stupid request of the day:

I need a SNES emulator and super mario world ROM for Windows 98.

I desperately want to mess up that game, so I can make a game that's actually DIFFICULT.

Seems like a good place to exchange info, here. I don't have a site of my own, but I have a few to offer in case you don't already know of them:

http://isovortex.emuparadise.org/iso/

They have a small variety of PSX Isos. Unfortunately, C:SotN is down. But there are no votes, no links. Just clean downloads.

http://www.pureroms.com/index.php/em...eboy%20advance

This is to search for GBA roms, though you can find others there too. The database is down, but hopefully it will be fixed soon.

http://zcubed.hypermart.net/dload.html

Good if you are looking for all versions of Pokemon. Sapphire and Ruby are still in Japanese.

I have numerous PC warez sites also, though they are by no means difficult to find.

Would it be bold of me, now, to ask if there is a site possessing the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Iso? My search for that one rom is what has caused me to run across every other sort of place in existence.

And I agree on that voting crap. It's complete BS.

1. this thread doesnt see much action

2. about half the fucking internet population comes in here asking for ISOs. we dont know where to get them and we wish that we could murder your kids.

but anything else is fair game.

Well, there's a reason for that:

The link leading here is labelled "PSX Isos"

That's how half the internet population arrives here, and why half of them are talking about Castlevania; that's in the description too.

Do a Yahoo search and you'll probably see what I'm talking about.

Just thought I'd let you know.

There was a post on the EdgeEmu forums with an insane amount of links, half of which were divided into categories. A lot of them didn't work, though, which sucks.

But I just checked and the forums are down because EdgeEmu's got a new layout and it suuuuucks.

And whoever was looking for the Kid Icarus GB ROM (In one of the posts from like February), I have it if you're still looking/still here/shut up.

I also have a burned copy of C:SotN. I don't have it right now, though, and my ISP limits uploads to around 13kb/s. But eh, I could get it back and possibly gain enough patience to send it to someone . . . Maybe.

I don't know.

"lol screw off newbis"

I just found another.

emureactor.com

Looks like right now the SNES and Genesis ROMs are down, but at least I finally found an SNES emulator that works on my computer.

Oh, yeah. They've got a pretty decent selection of NES and Master System games, and they download quickly too.

Best part about the site is you don't need to vote, like most of the others listed.[/url]

There's a good number of helpful rom collectors at the edgeemu.com board so if you're really, really, looking for a certain one there's a good chance someone there can help.
