I rented it today, if only to see what all the controversy(piece of shit vs. misunderstood masterpiece) was about over the summer. Shit, I was absolutely amazed as to how good it was.

I blame teenagers with no attention spans as to why this didn't go fucking gangbusters at the box office.

I intend to buy it at some point in the near future.

I thought Hulk was excellent. Any groovy extras on the dvd?

There are deleted scenes, a making-of featurette, a thing where they got some comic book artists to either draw or animate scenes from the movie in their own style, and supposedly a feature that has Ang Lee in the Hulk motion-capture suit acting all angry and stuff.

I haven't actually watched the extras yet, so I don't know how good they actually are. They sound good though.

I am suprised so many people hated it. Sure it was slow in some parts, and the ending was a little lame, but overall I liked it

i really hated and im sticking by that.

Every compared it to spiderman which was packed with action and didn't have many slow parts. The hulk was slow and seemed trying yo hard to be both a movie and comic book at the same time.

aside from all the cg criticism the actual character of the hulk was never really doing anything that seemed to be perticularly made it seem like a hero. All the big green guy did was fight to stay alive. Another problem i had was the fight scenes in the dark were to quick and confusing compared to the rest of the story.

The worst part to me was when the man in several casts launched a missile in to the foam and the explosion behind him was outlined in white, like in charlies angel or some other retro show. I think that it was just wasnt adapted well enough as a movie

i havent seen the dvd yet but i vowed to myself that i wouldnt spend any more money on hulk merchandise since i saw the movie...

I still haven't seen it yet. I was positive that I was going to see it during summer, I heard so many good things about this movie.
More good than bad.

Though I'll admit that the CGI Hulk varied between looking pretty decent to vaguely better than graphics from the video game, I still stand by the movie as being good, and I think most of the people who found it to be slow and boring suffer from a lack of attention span. These are probably the same people who found the Lord of the Rings movies boring.

I've got to hand it to Ang Lee, he turned the Hulk movie into a fascinating character study and father-son Greek tragedy. While others found the unusual editing and scene transitions to be distracting or annoying, I thought they were brilliant. They really brought a comic book feel to the movie in a way that's never been done before.

I've never really been a fan of the Hulk, but I am reading the current run on the title by Bruce Jones (which is fucking fantastic), and I always had some vague knowledge about the character. Hulk never struck me as being particularly heroic, it's kind of hard for a guy who is pissed off all the time to be a champion for good (former membership in the Avengers notwithstanding). I always thought the whole point of the book was that Hulk was a fucking MONSTER, he's NOT a nice guy, and Banner is the hero. It's Banner's presence somewhere deep within Hulk alone that struggles to keep him from rampaging and killing everything in sight. Besides, the idea of the Hulk running for his life from the military is something we have seen in the comics before.

I didn't find this movie as outright entertaining as Spider-Man, and I didn't feel it was as good as X2, but I'd place it about on the same level as the first X-Men movie. It was a solid comic book movie that did a great job of introducing us to the characters and bringing them to life on the big screen.

And I think everyone who's seen all the Marvel comic movies can agree...at least it's better than Daredevil.

Wait a second, Proto. For one, yeah, I found the LOTR movies to be incredibly boring. Not because of a lack of attention span, but just because the premise doesn't speak to me. I just can't bring myself to give a fuck about magic, rings, and whatnot. Hey, if that's what you're into, good. I personally didn't like the movies or the books. But whatever...

As far as pure entertainment, of course it's probably not going to match Spiderman or X-Men, which were pretty much action-packed, but in terms of story, shit. It's just incredible. Besides, who doesn't want to be the Hulk from time to time?

And hell, what WASN'T more entertaining than Daredevil?

If you didn't like the first LOTR, why bother wasting 3 and a half hours watching the second?

this was one of the few things i liked about the movie. The complex structure of his bruce's relationship with his father intrigued me cuz on one hand he was his father but on the other hand he wronged him so greviously. The only thing i didn't like was the odd fight scene at the end where they move from the base to the mountains and the father kept changing forms.

I haven't read the comic books so im speaking from a stictly movie goers pespective. My friend told me that it was going to be very true to the comic book and i didn't expect a long and thurough explaination scientifically of the hulks origins. It really wasnt a question of short attention span it was what some one went in expecting to see

I got dragged into it by an ex who was in love with the movies and books.

And yes, I tried to get into it by reading the books beforehand, but I could only get as far as the beginning of Return of the King, or whatever the hell it's called, before I finally called it quits. The worst thing was, the first two books took me about three months to get through, and I'm a pretty fast reader.

I'm not knocking LOTR fans, but I just don't get the appeal of it.
