As weak as that particular sketch is, that whole episode is fantastic. I think that's what makes UCB so great, that even though there are some weak sketches, they work together with the great sketches in creating something bigger and better than any of the sketches themselves.

Honestly Its been 3 years since I've seen an episode, so the rest of it might have been excellent. I just remember that sticking out to me as bad. Which is saying alot since I saw every episode and that is the only thing I remember as being less than very funny.

I've been away from the boards for a while and am just now hearing the news of the DVD release. This is going to be excellent. November 4th will now be known as "Best day ever day!". SWC 2 and UCB. and my birthday is Nov 6th, so they will both be free!

This makes me so glad I never bought the set of horrid quality VHS off the UCB boards years back

If Season 2 of SWC comes out with only 10 episodes of the actual Season 2 and not 20 episodes of the rest of the series, I'll be pretty disappointed.

werent the last 20 episodes slipt into 2 different seasons?

I remember the first part of the 2 part cult episode was the last of season 2. or I thought it was. :/

There apparantly was a three month break in the middle of season 2, and the rest of season 2 and season 3 aired in continuous 1-week intervals. Of course, if Comedy Central wants to be a pain in the ass about it, they'll release the last two seasons in separate sets to earn more money from it.

It'll probably be just 10 episodes.

2 seasons were produced. They aired as technically one season. The break occured durring episodes 208 & 209, the cult episodes, I guess to simulate a cliff-hanger. production for season 3, I asume, went on durring the break and they were able to come back with the rest of the run of the series.

I hope for SWC Season 2 they'll able to do a few more commentaries then just four freaking episodes. Seriously, I got the first set and the commentaries were insightful but a bit slim...and where's Greg Hollimon? Come on, the man has got to do an episode or two.

Mr. Show is great, but UCB destroys it. I can only handle so much Mr. Show at a time, but UCB I could watch forever. Same for Strangers With Candy (though it can't be compared with anything else really).

UCB is my favorite show ever. but I think Mr show ranks much closer to it than most of you seem think.

The first season is so fucking great too, I cant wait to watch it again in perfect quality. And these commentaries too, I know they will be fucking awesome.

ucb is my favorite sketch comedy show. i'll be counting the days til it comes out.

it's too bad there's nothing great in terms of sketch on tv now (we've lost ucb, mr. show, and the state). but this site (http://www.spidermonkeyfiasco.com) is tiding me over til the ucb dvd. they're updating with new sketches every tuesday, and i like the way the sketches link (although it reminds me more of the state than ucb).

I watched one of their full episodes a long time ago when they spammed the UCB board. it was fun. I like, totally hate their name though.

Also, check out http://www.thelonelyisland.com for more unproffesional comedy fun.
