Flight of the Navigator.

The Ice Pirates.

Howard the Duck.

These are some of the best childhood memories I've recalled.

Flight of the Navigator. Not terribly popular, or awarded, but I've seen it so many times that scenes of it are etched into my memory.
Fucking Paul Reubens as the ship, which works about as well as Jim Carrey in The Truman Show. The main character, Joey Cramer, playing the role of an annoying child actor, is lovingly dropped by the hands of Hollywood soon after this film debuts. Beautiful.
It is a family movie, and one that's probably best left to befuddling toddlers and creating fuzzy imagery that they'll confuse with real life memories. Walt Disney, luckily, hasn't kicked the dust off of this one, though I'm not guaranteeing that "Flight of the Navigator 2: Puppies Are Lol" isn't in the works.

The Ice Pirates. Pure Sci-Fi Comedy Cheese, and it came across like a weak Mel Brooks. Seeing as how I was a wee one when this came out, most of the jokes were over my head, and I spent the entire time laughing at the time warp scenes. But it still felt good, and the characters were quite enjoyable to me, though obviously not memorable.

Howard the Duck. I don't really think this one needs my opinion, it's got a very impressive cult following. The special effects made my young eyes cringe in terror, but then again I mistook Ferris Bueller's Day Off as a horror movie, thinking his stereo turned him into a mannequin.
I'd make jokes about the movie of the same name, but, let's face it, Hollywood Montrose could make anyone squeal like a girl.

Some honorable mentions for childhood memories would probably belong to The Last Starfighter and Tron. The Last Starfighter I mention only because I saw it so many fucking times, and Tron I mention because, although I remember quite a bit of it, the blacklight stylings are the only things that stand out.

I used to fucking love Flight of the Navigator

I say "used to" because even though I also still have certain scenes burned into my memory, I haven't seen it in years.

They had the cutest old people for that movie, I think some of them were in Cocoon, too.

I'm guessing most of them are dead by now.
