I've had it for four days now.
I'd previously said I'd want to spend at least an hour on it every day. That was silly. I'm taking it back to half an hour.
I alternate days between aerobics and strength training with yoga on each. I did strength training last night and holy shit did I ever wake up sore. A lot of the exercises also ask you to stick your arms straight out, which really wear out your shoulders. Plank kinda pisses me off. I can't lift my head to see where my center of balance is, and if I do I invariably have to shuffle my body all over. I was kinda pissed when I took the jackknife challenge and my trainer could only do ten or twenty. What the fuck? Why are you
training me?
I definitely think it's no place for real exercise, but I really don't think that's the point. It's not for building mass or even endurance, just testing and toning core muscles. I certainly don't think I'm heavy enough to need extensive exercise or intense cardio, but something like this is good for keeping me honest, since I can never really find the motivation to go to the gym.
My biggest problem is I'm not seeing results yet and I'm skeptical if I will. I've only been doing it for four days, sure, but on my second day I did tons of work outside and nothing but aerobics (tons, tons of running) and on the third day I'd gained weight.
