I care about the people who died in that attack. I don't care because I'm patriotic or because people say I should. I care because I can't do anything but. Because, if I had been one of the ones to fall to my doom from upwards of seventy stories, I would never want the rest of our race to forget the terrible violence that we are capable of. Call me pansy. Call me holier-than-thou. It won't change my feelings on the subject.

PS: Yes, I do understand that I probably would not know so much of the situation were I in that position. That's not exactly the point.
