After seeing the Two Towers, I started reading the book again to refresh my memory of things. Near the end, I came upon this telltale quote of Sam's:

Quote:

"Not but what it would be safe for you to have a wink now, master. Safe, if you lay close to me. I'd be dearly glad to see you have a sleep. I'd keep watch over you; and anyway, if you lay near, with my arm round you, no one could come pawing you without your Sam knowing it."

Quote:

"Sleep then, master! Lay your head in my lap."

Of course, Sam. And if your penis should happen to slip into Frodo's mouth as he lay asleep, who would know, right? Who would know?

It's been some time since I read Return of the King, but I believe he does. Because:

* * * SPOILER TO THOSE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE STORY OF THE TWO TOWERS BEYOND THE MOVIE * * *

Near the end of the Two Towers, Frodo gets stung by Shelob and Sam thinks he's dead. He decides to complete the quest of the ringbearer, puts Frodo's ring around his neck, and leaves. But he's waited too long, and orcs show up, so Sam slips on the ring to become invisible.

Even though he had it on only for a moment, everyone who's ever worn the ring must eventually go to the Grey Havens and leave Middle-Earth. However, if I remember correctly, Sam doesn't go to the Grey Havens for many years after people like Gandalf, Bilbo and Frodo have left.

I thinks it's pretty clear "Master Samwise" is gay, based on the scene near the end of "Return of the King" where Sam and Frodo fuck, and Sam says "I don't know Mr. Frodo, but I'll say this much: I do like Gay Sex."

Which book is it in where Sam is staring at Frodo and is thinking to himself how handsome he is and then right after thinks "I love him"?

I beleive Tolkien himself said that they are not homosexual, that is supposed to show the bond of brotherhood that can form during hardship, modeled after experiances in WWI. And really if either of the two were gay it would be Frodo, not just becasue of the Sam marrying a woman thing but also frodo acts much more "wussy" and he doe s not do much fighting at all throughout the whole trilogy. If we are looking for stuff to feed gay rumors those are much better then sam attempting to protect his master.

im not actually claiming that that is a good reason, but the whole sam-frodo gay thing is based on that reasoning.

I think all of Sam's swooning over Frodo is all in the Two Towers.

None of the hobbits really do much fighting, because they're small.

I COULD be wrong about this, so don't quote me on it, but I seem to recall hearing somewhere that Tolkien hated gay people because of his religious beliefs.

IF that's true, I find it amusingly ironic that just about everybody in this day and age thinks Frodo and Sam are gay lovers and that in the movies Gandalf was played by a brilliant gay man.

I hope I'm wrong though.

You forget the part of the book where *SPOILER* Sam finds Frodo naked and passed out in a prison tower in Mordor and he does not tie him up with his elfish rope and rimfuck him.

All right, that only proves he's not a gay DATE RAPER, but I think it's a valid point.

Yeah, I think Tolkien wasn't too keen on gays. And of course I don't really think Sam was written to be gay, but parts like I quoted from the book are just funny, especially with today's mindset.

doopa sry bout the confusion what i meant was the reasoning was generally flawed and juvenile. and one of the ways that manifests itself is "manliness" etc and i just used frodo's lack of combat as an example.
