Have there every been lyrics in a song that you though said something and then found out the correct lyrics? if you have share with us.

EXAMPLE: In gym they make us listen to crappy music and when the song Haspipe by Weezer came on i thought he said " I got my asswipe" and it was really Hashpipe.

Oh man, this one time, I was listening to a Misfits song and I thought they were singing "Wellayot summa tasaaaay", and it turns out that they were actually singing "Wellaygot summin tasaaaay". Talk about embarrassing.

It that awfully annoying Celine Dion song "That's the Way it Is," I always thought she was saying "...in this thing called LUR-UR-UR-URV!!!" The word was "love," but it certainly didn't sound like it.

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Verse 1-

Load up on guns
Bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's overborne and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Chorus-
Hello, hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello ,hello
With the Lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now entertain us
A mullato an albino
A mosquito my libido
yay

The mullato an Albino part I though he was saying something like I'm Danny Devito I'm a beater I'm a skater

that one nirvana song about hanging people or something...

i have some type of problem where I don't understand what they are saying in almost any song so I make up lyrics in my head. The sad thing is that usually I like the lyrics I make up alot more than the actual lyrics... sometimes i actually stop liking songs because the lyrics aren't what i thought they were.

Seriously, listen to Bush's "Everything Zen". It's full of these; "try to see once my waa-aaa--aay" sounds EXACTLY like "Trotsky wants my wiiii-iiii-iiine", and i was like, "is this a commentary on communism?"

I heard a song with the lyric "I got my head checked, by a jumbo jet". I was like WTF. Then it turns out, that's exactly what they were singing.

That just came up on my Pandora account. It sounded to me like "Trosshky wants my wiii-iii-iiine", so I'd say it's a drunken commentary on communism.

Iron Maiden - "Heaven Can Wait"

A friend of mine misheard the chorus, where Bruce Dickinson repeatedly sings "Heaven can wait 'til another day", as being "Haven't gained weight for another day"

www.kissthisguy.com is an entire site dedicated to people posting lyrics that they've misheard. There's some funny stuff there.

Well, on Overkill's Necroshine, I thought one part went "I'm basking here, my nipples shine"

Its been going around for a while, but even before I saw the video I always though they were screaming "Boat Rudder, Strange Mountain" in that Trivium Song, where it's actually "Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr"

Also..."He's Got The Whole World In His Hands" sounded like "He's got the whole world in his pants" when I was 10

I actually did a whole page of these with audio clips and everything:

http://www.hooplanet.co.uk/article.p...from=&ucat=10&

Stuff like Oasis "Need a little time to wank off" or the Gorillaz "You've got some breadstick on you".
