So last night, the Cubs had a 3-0 lead in the eighth inning (that's almost the end of the game for you non-baseball-understanding communist faggots). After an odd play involving a fan
(see here), the Cubs choked and fell apart, which is what the Cubs do. They choke and lose.
What I enjoyed the most was that the cameras kept panning all around the park, looking at the fans. It was priceless. Earlier in the game, they were delirious with joy, thinking they were going to cruise to an easy win and a ticket into the World Series. They were raucous, rowdy, and cheering like mad. After that eight-run inning, which took place over the course of about 10 minutes, the whole ballpark was silent as the grave, and all of the fans had this dumbstruck look on their faces, like they all just found out they were adopted.
Maybe they'll win tonight. But teams tend to get demoralized after such a sudden and crushing defeat.
Mmmmm.... Schadenfreude.
