Yeah, early on, Square was testing out their graphics engine with the N64 by making 3D models of the FF6 characters.

Hard to believe it looked better that what we ended up with.

The infamous Silicon FMV.

Also have the Gamefan where they first announced FFVII for PS instead.

I have a bunch of old gaming mags that I bought at the time, just started rummaging through some of my old stuff. Dating back to the first issue of NP.

i remember that article. i was so psyched to get a n64 when i saw it.

and it's kinda unfortunate that the psx is so crappy in comparison, but really had infinitely more games that were fun and interesting to play. :o beh

Yeah I wasn't even going to buy a PS until I found out that FFVII was coming out for it instead. I still enjoyed the N64's run and some games still get use today.

Harvest Moon 64, Jamesman

I just bought Resident Evil 2 for N64 today. I was searching for Dark Cloud, and saw it in a bargain bin for $18. I'd buy Harvest Moon for it if I could find it.

As for magazines, I have a shitload of them too. I can never bear to part with them, for fear that there'll be some nostalgic piece of information I'll want to find.

Hell, it's a good deal for the version I'm most comfortable with. You could set up the controls so that it wasn't pivot-and-step, and it had cheat codes for invincbility and infinite ammo. It's the only way a sissy like me can play the RE games (and none of the other ones have those options).

I sold my N64 games. Now I want them back. For some reason I want to play Mario 64. I have a NES magazine from before NP. I have no NP magazines though. I get Game Informer. It came with a free subscription when I bought a game.
