i don't know of any musicians that died while they were still putting out worthwhile music. lots of dead musicians, but eh, i wouldn't expect good new material from john fahey or peter steele.

Zappa is my answer too, but he was dead long before I had ever heard of him SO I DON'T THINK IT COUNTS? Sucks that I'll never get to see him live.

It counts. Also Bill Chase and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

And Rod Stewart and Michael Bolton sing on and on.

If we all say it enough times, it will become the truth.

I also miss Dennis Brain, who no one but me on this board will probably care about.

^Respect.

John Lennon, Randy Rhoads and Johnny Cash. The only deceased musicians I have any personal preference in.

A fictional musician I miss is Chris Gaines. Fuck the haters, those songs were actually good and better than Garth Brooks standard stuff!
