Battletoads should definitely be pulled off that list. Damn stupid game was impossible when I was young and near-autistic around video games, and there's no way anyone can beat it once they've passed twenty.

Guardian Legend is awesome. There's a near-impossible jump in one of the later levels in Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, but up to that point the game is one of my all-time favourites. I really hate that jump part, though.
