Ok. Has anyone seen them yet? I live a block away from a Super Target and nothing there yet. I stopped by a grocery store today, nothing. I'm in Kansas City, so it seems they aren't here yet.

Anyone see them in their neck of the woods?

Yep, still no luck finding them at any Target stores. I called a few the other day and they said they wouldn't be putting out their Halloween stuff until the first week of September most likely.

Which Kansas City and which part of it? Because I'm pretty sure I know a nearby place you could check.
Unless you're looking for the retro-style boxes specifically.

One of my fake virtual friends just gave me some local updates!

"My Target, in Dothan, AL, is currently in stock of the classic General Mills boxes however, their halloween items are not put out yet. When they do, I am positive my location will have the 5 flavors in their classic boxes. Every year they have had the cereal on hand during Halloween season. I will be buying them as soon as they arrive."

He's hooking me up with 2 boxes of all 5 different ones. One set to eat and one to display. My parents refused to get these when i was a kid so I'll be making up for it big time. I will carefully trim and frame the boxes for the ones I eat when they are gone.

Guessing their first day of Halloween for Target is the 8th, Sunday.
Fox Hills Mall Target had barely any Halloween stuff.

Pillsbury pumpkin cookies, tons of Halloween cards, pet costumes and candy corn Oreos (And some other M&Ms bags and generic candy corn)

But that's it. Their seasonal area is still just dumping back to school junk that no one wants.

I have a photo of a display containing the "big three" plus Fruit Brute. I've also seen Yummy Mummy in the same Giant. I won't buy these cereals - just looking at the boxes gives me the "sugar shakes" - but I still appreciate the nostalgia value.

Finally got my hands on the complete set of retro Monster Cereal boxes. Here's your first look at 'em, along with all the modern boxes!

Awesome, I may have to try making one.

My local target still doesn't have the retro boxes. What slackers.

Pretty much all Target stores have the retro boxes now, but I wouldn't wait long to get 'em as I'm sure some collectors will try to buy 'em all to resell at exorbitant prices on eBay. Either way, we have no idea if they'll ever produce this retro packaging again, so if you're on the fence about buying them, just go ahead and get the boxes anyway. They're only $2.50 per box.

Not at all, my skeptical friend. They sent me five boxes of cereal the other month when I first posted about 'em. Always nice that they show their support for my love of Boo Berry and the monster cereals.

Sugar keeps it value during times of economic uncertainty. That's why I invest in sugar dollar coins.

In an attempt to figure out what to do with 5 boxes of cereal, I made Frute Brute and Franken Berry mixed squares. Very good!
Now to figure out what to do about Count Chocula.
