Jeremy: Variant of Jeremiah, which is the English version of Yirmeyahu, a Hebrew name meaning "Yahweh has uplifted."
Travis: Derived from the Old French word traverse, which means "to cross". It is from a surname that originally meant "toll-taker".
Wiffrain: A variant of the name Wiffles, which means "He who annoys with made-up names".
Matt: Short form of Matthew, which is the English form of Matthaios, which in turn was the Greek form of the Hebrew name Mattithyahu, which means "Gift of Yahweh".

"Roger" is less complicated. It means "famous spear", and it comes from the Germanic elements "hrod" (fame) and "ger" (spear). The Normans introduced this name to Britain.

Yeah, I got your famous spear right here...

I looked up my own name. :o

Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Dubhghlas, which meant "dark river" or "blood river" from Gaelic dubh "dark" and glais "water, river". Douglas was originally a river name, the site of a particularly bloody battle, which then became a Scottish surname. The surname belonged to a powerful line of Scottish earls.

Sef is the name of an Egyptian lion god. It also means "yesterday".

Tara has two meanings. In Sanskrit, it means "star", and is the name a Hindu/Buddhist astral goddess.
Tara is also the Anglicized form of the Irish place name Teamhair, which possibly means "elevated place" in Gaelic.

I can't find the name Drakely in any of my sources, but I can find "Drake", which is Latin for both "dragon" and "male duck". I suspect that Gothy-poo's parent's decided to create the name themselves from Drake.

The name Lars is the Scandinavian form of the name Laurence, which comes from the Latin name Laurentius, which means "of Laurentum". Laurentum was a city in ancient Italy, and its name probably is from the Latin word laurus, meaning "laurel". The laurel was sacred to the god Apollo and symbolizes victory and achievement.

Erik means "ever-ruling", and is derived from the Old Norse word elements ei (ever) and rikr (ruling).

I could not find the name Bonde in my sources, but I did find the name Bond, which it may be derived from. Bond is Old English and it means "tiller of the soil". I think that Bonde probably does come from Bond, as Old English was very closely related to the Scandinavian language family.

Hickman, did you mean Jeddiah or Jedidiah?

Adolf is the modern German form of the Germanic name Adalwulf, Adal meaning "noble" and wulf meaning "wolf".

Lawanda was created by African Americans and has no known meaning, although the name element "Wanda" could be interpreted for meaning.

Shaq is the short form of Shaquille, which means "handsome" in Arabic.

Wolfgang comes from the Germanic elements wulf (meaning wolf) and gang (meaning path).

Micah is a Biblical name that means "Who is like Yahweh?" in Hebrew.

Dmitry is the Russian form of the Latin name Demetrius, which comes from the Greek name Demetrios, which means "from Demeter" or "loving Demeter". Demeter was the Greek goddess of the harvest, and her name means "Earth Mother".

DANNY m English
Pronounced: DAN-ee
Pet form of DANIEL

DANIEL m English, Jewish, French, German, Scandinavian, Polish, Czech, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Biblical
Pronounced: DAN-yul (English), dan-YEL (French)
From the Hebrew name Daniyel meaning "God is my judge". Daniel was a Hebrew prophet whose story is told in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. He lived during the Jewish captivity in Babylon, where he served in the court of the king, rising to prominence by interpreting the king's dreams. The book also presents Daniel's four visions of the end of the world. Famous bearers of this name include English author Daniel Defoe, Swiss mathematician Daniel Bernoulli, and American frontiersman Daniel Boone.

Damn, I was about to ask that too, but you beat me to it.

Anyone that pronounces my name with a French accent will be served a heaping helping of knuckle sandwich, followed with a warm glass of shut the hell up

I did however already know it meant "God is my judge." But sadly, my parents didn't name me after something like that... no, it was a fucking Elton John song.

Japinder is such a dumb name.

Anyways, my cousin and his girlfriend just had a baby and they named her Jasmine. My first thought was, "what? are they expecting her to be fat?"
