I am not argueing with any "place rating" for that. I had heard about for years but never saw it until...

Myself and a married couple, with their 3 year old watched together. NONE OF US knew what we were in for. I think all of us were stone silent until the chicken scene, when 3 yr old asks "what's he doing?".

There was no baby talk. It was "If I knew, sir, I would definitely tell you".

Which was a much better reaction than MY parents covering my eyes and forcing me to not look when they thought it would be a good idea to bring a 3 year old Jediscum to see "The Exorcist" on the silver screen.

Pardon.... i'm tending to ramble

Manos: The Hands of Fate. I first saw it on MST3K, and it started my love for crappy, low-budget movies.
I still can't understand what the hell they're talking about in the movie, though. I assume I was born with too much stupid.

The Big Lebowski...hmm, maybe I just haven't watched enough movies yet, but that's the one that springs to mind.

I saw the part when Nick Stahl died and some other random scenes. It was pretty weird for an American film from what I saw. I personally thing Natural Born Killers is pretty up there.

I like Bully too, the scene where the Leonardo Dicaprio look alike dude and the fat guy goes to the arcades on acid and they play a game that looks like a Mortal Kombat ripoff, I wonder if that game really exists, it remainds Tattoo Assasins

I thought Big Lebowski was weird too, I loved it though.

I also thoguht 12 Monkeys was pretty odd, hard to keep up with at times because of the way they bounce around between the future and past. I liked that one as well.

Fight Club was weird too I thought. Again, I liked this movie regardless.

Guess I like weird movies.

One of my all time favorite weird movies is Terry Gilliam's Brazil (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/). Gilliam's original version, not the "Love Conquers All" hatchet job version. I've got the Criterion collection, which has both, so I had the unfortunate opportunity to watch the latter for comparison. Ye gods, they've destroyed my favorite movie.

Barton Fink is also delightfully twisted.

Producer Sid Sheinberg wanted it to have this big happy Hollywood ending where everything turns out okay and literally butchered the film (it's painfully obvious where stuff was spliced together toward the end of the film) in order to get it. The original ending was much darker, and Terry Gilliam was furious with the changes and didn't want to be associated with the new version at all.

"Zardoz" is FUCKING AWESOME!!!! Thanks for reminding me, because I need to buy that,

I just hit the used DVD store and for 2 DOLLARS, I found "Bela Legosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla". I could not stop laughing. But I haven't watched it yet.

I also bought "Spiderman 3", just so I could see what the hell people are yelling about. I've heard it's bad, yes, but I haven't seen it yet.

I didn't know what Acid western was about so i checked that one, it turns to be a very strange movie but it disapointed me about the western stuff, i rather prefer a Clint Eastwood or a Franco Nero regular western
